And So Its Come to This........... a Blog

Why bother with creative original content when one can post the minutiae of a numbingly average life?

I really hate this kid.

Really.

Snakes On A Plane was actually pretty good, it was horribly written and a complete joke but it was actually effective. It had some hilarious moments, some recollections of Samuel L's Jurrasic Park days and the frightened mob scenes were at times truly frightening. It was a good mix of crudeness, cheese and terror.

Me, Taylor and Shawn scoped out the radio station and looked around at their music collection I have to say I was impressed, at least at the fact that 3/4 of their CDs were from bands I had never heard of.

Oh and Weezer's Pinkerton is one of the greatest albums ever.

Okay, we close up the library at 11:30 and the only people left are myself and the other librarian who goes out the back way to her car. I turn off the last of the lights, blah blah blah...When I get outside and do a final check on the doors I see right by the steps an emo kid and a pure white cat just standing there looking at each other.

I watch them for a minute and when I walk past I ask if it's his cat.

"No he's just following me around" - In a bored emo tone that could or could not be sarcasm.

Great story, I know, but what the hell is an emo kid and a cat doing having a staring contest at 11:30?

Tuesdays are going to be a problem for me, expect the most angst-ridden entries to come from Tuesdays. Garfield's Monday's won't have anything on me.

First off, I wake up at 8:50 and realize my alarm didn't go off. I had set the alarm correctly to 6:45 AM but the actual time was off by 12 hours. I'm still wondering how I managed to do that. So I miss Early Field Experiance which is once a week and therefore a class YOU CAN'T MISS. Yeah.

Worse, is that I've booked my work schedule to start immediatly after that class so I had to run around to make it in time for my first shift of the day. (Yes, my first) Right after that I have Introduction to Exceptional Populations. So I miss breakfast and I have to get a quick lunch (two slices of pizza with ham, onions and mustardy cheese, yep.) before I go to my third class English Lit.

English Lit isn't bad and the professor seems knowledgable but she is getting older and her voice switches from middle aged to screeching. It's nice to know that there is a second period of voice changing to look forward too.

After class I have to get my books and discover another place that my River Valley Credit Union debit card doesn't work. So I have to go wait and get a voucher before I can pick up my books. That means I'll have to pay back my parents as soon as I get home since they send voucher bills home.

I guess now that I write it out it doesn't sound so bad, it's just that at 8:00 I have to go work the late shift at the library until closing at 11:30-Midnight. So hopefully that will give me time to do my homework and maybe start the latest Genmay Book Club selection, Anna Karenina. Laurel, I know will know what I'm getting into.

Well, here I am back at school and true to form I forgot something vital at home (despite the fact I brought practically everything I own that isnt packed away). I forgot clothes hangers so my t-shirts, sweaters and such are stuck in the duffel. Also I need to get bed risers and the school store is blissfully out of those items.

Otherwise the move went fairly smoothly. I've got everything set up perfectly except the posters which I'm putting aside until I decide whether or not to keep some of them. I haven't had a class yet (I have World History II at 1, Educational Psych at 2 and French at 4) but I did get my work schedule at the library set up. I just need to get my birth certificate...last year I got away with not giving them any identification from columns a and c for the tax forms. Not intentionally, everyone just forgot.

I haven't gotten to know all of my new suitemates yet but they seem alright, and the balcony is worth climbing up two flights of stairs.

Right now I've been busy updating all of my internet obligations (starting with genmay of course) and...that's about it.

Oh, also I forgot to call my parents last night so if Michelle is reading this tell them I'm sorry but I forgot, we were watching Flight of the Pheonix and V For Vendetta. Both of which were really really great, which was a pleasant surprise. We're going to see Snakes On A Plane on Thursday.

I'll try to update this at least every other day this year, but for now I'm finished.
